The Newent Association for the Disabled Charity Shop can be found in the superb surroundings of 'The Old Shambles' in Church Street, Newent and is mainly run by volunteers. After day-to-day running costs have been paid the remainder of the money taken in the shop all goes to the N.A.D and is used to help run both Sheppard House and Dial-a-Ride and also goes towards special projects such as the recently completed Sensory Garden area at Sheppard House.
All the goods sold in the shop have been donated and we are always in need of books, toys, clothes, bric-a-brac, electrical items (except TV's) and small items of furniture. If you have a problem delivering your donations we can arrange a collection.
We also have a 'One Stop' area within the shop offering a warm friendly service in comfortable surroundings. There are leaflets, help and advice available. Bookings for Dial-a-Ride can be made from here and the shop is used as a "bus stop" where you can wait for your transport in comfort - you may even get a cup of tea from one of the volunteers manning the shop!

Gift Aid
If you 'Gift Aid' your donation to us we can claim an extra 25% on your donation from the taxman. Another superb way to help your local charity.
Please ask in the Charity Shop for a Gift Aid registration form.
Tourist Information
Fronting the shop to the right of the main entrance there is a touch screen Tourist Information point for information on local attractions, available B & B's etc. This is available even when the Charity Shop is closed.
If you have some goods to donate and need to arrange collection or you are able to help us in any way please phone 01531 828060
